Sung-ryong Kuk vs Kook-young Um

Boxing Daily Report from the Nomvete Promotions promoted show at Incheon Kim, Incheon,  taking place on 30/11/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-Incheon Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sung-ryong Kuk (3 - 10 - 1) who hails from Incheon, South Korea and Kook-young Um(12 - 4 - 5) from Incheon, South Korea.  Both Kuk and Um weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hyun-jun Noh, and the three ringside judges are Tae-hwi Tang, Se-jong Keng and Hyun-jun Kwak.  

Round 1: 

Um lands two right hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Kuk advances into close range.  Um quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Um gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Kuk is looking to keep his distance and drives a cross into Um's body.  
Kuk tries to keep the action at long range and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Um pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.
