Danny Neil vs Joe Cay

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at Arlington Galt, Arlington,  taking place on 07/12/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Texas Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Danny Neil (10 - 3 - 1) who hails from Houston, USA and Joe Cay(5 - 9(1) - 3) from Austin, USA.  Both Neil and Cay weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Faisal Rasul, and the three ringside judges are Paul Mings, Floyd Celestino and Corey Barnes.  

Round 1: 

Cay lands a jab.  
Cay advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Neil hits home with a left uppercut.
