Kook-young Rhee vs Yasushi Moriyama

Boxing Daily Report from the Maloian Promotions promoted show at Sangyo Hall, Hiroshima,  taking place on 13/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kook-young Rhee (8 - 0) who hails from Busan, South Korea and Yasushi Moriyama(2 - 2 - 1) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Rhee and Moriyama weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoru Fukuda, and the three ringside judges are Goro Tengan, Iwao Sando and Yasushi Saito.  

Round 1: 

Rhee gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Rhee is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Rhee clinches his opponent.  Rhee is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rhee lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rhee cuts off the ring, trapping Moriyama on the ropes.  Rhee digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Rhee holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Rhee pushes his forearm into Moriyama's face.  The referee warns Rhee and breaks the clinch.  
Rhee lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rhee lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Rhee ties up his opponent.  Rhee leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Moriyama closes the distance.  Rhee lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.

Moriyama throws a left hook, but Rhee ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Rhee pushes his forearm into Moriyama's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Rhee.
