Waleed Kamara vs Young-cheol Bai

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, New Delhi,  taking place on 10/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the IRBF Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Waleed Kamara (17(12) - 3(3)) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Young-cheol Bai(14 - 3(3)) from Gwangju, South Korea.  Both Kamara and Bai weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vijay Kedia, and the three ringside judges are Azam Shams, Syed Ghazal and Gautam Trivedi.  

Round 1: 

Kamara lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Bai attempts to land a cross, but Kamara slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bai is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Bai attempts to land a left hook, but Kamara blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Kamara is looking to keep the action on the outside and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Bai lands with a sharp jab.  
Bai is on target with a jab.  
Bai forces Kamara to retreat onto the ropes.  Bai tries to land a jab, but Kamara slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Kamara pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm jab to his opponents body.  
Bai gets on the inside.  Kamara pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Kamara is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bai attempts to land a jab, but Kamara sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Bai tries to land a cross, but Kamara blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kamara tries to keep the action at long range.  Kamara feints a jab, tricking Bai into throwing a left hook counter.  Kamara is waiting for the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kamara feints a jab, fooling Bai into launching a left uppercut counter.  Kamara springs the trap, countering with  a left hook.  
Kamara lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Kamara is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bai attempts to land a cross, but Kamara parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bai sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kamara connects with a cross.  
Kamara steps to the outside.  Kamara quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bai lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Bai cuts off the ring, trapping Kamara on the ropes.  Bai pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kamara lands with a spiteful jab.  
Kamara hits home with a cross.  
Bai is looking to close the distance.  Bai pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bai tries to land a right hook, but Kamara sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kamara steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross to the head, a jab to the body and an overhand left to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Kamara senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Kamara lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, KNOCKING BAI DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Bai has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Kamara feints a jab, but Bai does not fall for it and is on target with a left hook.  
Bai pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bai closes the distance and forces Kamara to back into the ropes.  Kamara tries to land a left hook, but Bai dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kamara lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Bai gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Bai connects with a right uppercut.  
Kamara switches the action to the outside.  Kamara feints a left hook, and then finds the target with a sharp jab.  Kamara tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bai's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Bai is on target with a jab.  
Bai pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Bai attempts to land a left hook, but Kamara blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kamara tries to step out of his opponents range.  Bai throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kamara lands a stinging cross to Bai's body.  
Kamara lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Bai closes the distance.  Kamara is looking to force the stoppage!  Kamara lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS BAI SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Kamara switches the action to the outside.  Kamara lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND BAI IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Bai has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Bai hits home with a cross.  
Bai throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Kamara lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bai advances into close range.  Kamara pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Kamara senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Bai and just needs the right shot.  Kamara lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS BAI TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Kamara!
