Pablo Ona vs Alek Gheeraerds

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Ballerup Super Arena, Copenhagen,  taking place on 21/12/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the WRBA Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Pablo Ona (13(5) - 4(2)) who hails from Zamboanga City, Philippines and Alek Gheeraerds(13(1) - 3(1) - 1) from Amsterdam, Netherlands.  Ona weighed in at 108 pounds, while Gheeraerds weighed in at 107 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Knute Bossen, and the three ringside judges are Knute Bossen, Viljo Salmonsen and Davin Baden.  

Round 1: 

Gheeraerds attempts to land a left hook, but Ona sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut to Gheeraerds's body.
