Waqas Betro vs Umair Farag

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UAE-Ash Shariqah promoted show at Jawad Hashemi Gym, Sharjah,  taking place on 14/12/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the UAE-Ash Shariqah Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Betro (6 - 6 - 1) who hails from Sharjah, UAE and Umair Farag(7 - 3) from Sharjah, UAE.  Both Betro and Farag weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Abdul El-sayed, and the three ringside judges are Abdul Nassef, Abdul Nassef and Khalid Dallal.  

Round 1: 

Betro pivots to the side of his opponent.  Betro throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Farag's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
