Sam Coupland vs Goga Gritsun

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Sexy Boxing promoted show at Eston Sports Academy, Middlesbrough,  taking place on 21/12/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Sam Coupland (7 - 0) who hails from Middlesbrough, UK and Goga Gritsun(2 - 1 - 3) from Moscow, Russia.  Both Coupland and Gritsun weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Ladd, and the three ringside judges are David Fridge, David Duffy and Nathan Magee.  

Round 1: 

Coupland is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Gritsun throws a right uppercut, but Coupland ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Coupland pushes his forearm into Gritsun's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
