Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Midland Hotel, Manchester,  taking place on 20/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Shaun Downie (1 - 0) who hails from Bury, UK and Bilal Sawaya(1 - 1 - 1) from London, UK.  Both Downie and Sawaya weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Bevans, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Goodlet, Arran Roose and Ian Lowery.

Sawaya closes the distance.  Downie pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sawaya throws a right hook, but Downie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Downie pushes his forearm into Sawaya's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Downie about fouling.
