Chul Min vs Jun Sazama

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kyoto promoted show at Kyoto University, Kyoto,  taking place on 13/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the East Asian Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Chul Min (13(2) - 2(2)) who hails from Cheonan, South Korea and Jun Sazama(13(9) - 1(1) - 1) from Kyoto, Japan.  Both Min and Sazama weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Fujiwara, and the three ringside judges are Takeshi Shimizu, Nao Mori and Takeshi Shimizu.  

Round 1: 

Min lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Min is looking to close the distance.  Min sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Min tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Min sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sazama tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sazama lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Min lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Min tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Sazama lands a jab to the body, a jab to the head and a cross to the head.  
Min is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Min lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Min pivots to the side of his opponent.  Min is on target with a right hook to Sazama's body.  Min tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Min's body.  
Sazama hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Sazama steps to the outside.  Min lands a stiff jab.  
Min closes the distance.  Min quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sazama is on target with a CRUSHING left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sazama throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Sazama knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Sazama is on target with a MASSIVE right hook.  MIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Min now seems to have his senses back.  
Sazama steps away from his opponent.  Min lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sazama steps to the outside.  Min throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Sazama hits the target with a hard jab.  
Min advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Min gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Sazama switches the action to the outside.  Min tries to land a cross, but Sazama dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Sazama throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sazama is on target with a solid cross to Min's body.  
Min manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Min lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Min gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Min lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Min throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a nasty left hook.  MIN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Min recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sazama is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Min gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Min pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a stinging left hook.

Min quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Min steps inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Sazama steps to the outside.  Min connects with a cross.  
Min lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Sazama switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Sazama lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sazama lands a cross.  
Min is looking to close the distance.  Min pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Min pivots from in front of his opponent.  Min tries to land a right hook, but Sazama slips the shot and counters with a cross.

The right shot from Sazama could be enough to force the stoppage!  Sazama lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two straights followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  It looks like Min has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Sazama is on target with a jab to Min's body.  
Sazama steps away from his opponent.  Min finds the target with a ramrod jab.  Min attempts to land a jab, but Sazama parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Min hits home with a ramrod jab.  Min tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a SAVAGE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Min gets on the inside.  Sazama senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Sazama lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND DOWN GOES MIN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Sazama!
