Phil Platter vs Zack Carruth

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at El Zaribah Shriners Auditorium, Phoenix,  taking place on 11/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Arizona Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Phil Platter (9(4) - 0) who hails from Phoenix, USA and Zack Carruth(7 - 3 - 2) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Platter and Carruth weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Oliver, and the three ringside judges are Callum Pareja, Phil Sim and Zachary Davies.  

Round 1: 

Platter hits home with a cross.  
Carruth is looking to close the distance.  Carruth pivots to the side of his opponent.  Carruth throws a right uppercut, but Platter clinches his opponent.  Platter uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Carruth behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Platter.  
Carruth feints a jab, but Platter is not fooled and responds with a sharp left hook.  
Platter feints a left hook, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Platter is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.  
Platter lands a cross.  
Carruth sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Platter lands a jab to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Platter lands a cross to the body, a jab to the head and a cross to the head.  
Carruth sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Platter steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Platter switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Platter feints a left hook, and then hits home with a hard jab.  
Platter lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Carruth closes the distance and manouvers Platter onto the ropes.  Platter throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Platter clinches his opponent.  Carruth leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Platter is looking to keep his distance and lands a stinging cross.  
Carruth is looking to close the distance.  Platter lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Platter is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Platter sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Platter lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Platter lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Carruth is on target with a cross.  
Platter switches the action to the outside.  Carruth attempts to land a jab, but Platter blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carruth's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Carruth's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Carruth's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Carruth manouvers Platter onto the ropes.  Platter lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Platter quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Platter sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Platter lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Platter lands a cross.

Platter steps to the outside.  Platter feints a right hook, and then lands a jab.

Carruth throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Platter lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Carruth almost instantly gets his legs back.
