Gyuri Barbas vs Yehor Mellas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Greece-Central Macedonia promoted show at Darien Ganas Gym, Thessaloniki,  taking place on 20/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Greece Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ERT1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gyuri Barbas (6 - 6) who hails from Athens, Greece and Yehor Mellas(10 - 4) from Thessaloniki, Greece.  Barbas weighed in at 243 pounds And 13 ounces, while Mellas weighed in at 230 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Cosmas Remis, and the three ringside judges are Aeolus Stamos, Damaris Zervos and Damaris Zervos.  

Round 1: 

Mellas tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand left.
