Umair Kaiser vs Chinedu Oletu

Boxing Daily Report from the Batabaire Promotions promoted show at Kaduna Islam, Kaduna,  taking place on 06/01/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Nigeria-Lagos State Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Umair Kaiser (8 - 3 - 2) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and Chinedu Oletu(4 - 7 - 1) from Lagos, Nigeria.  Kaiser weighed in at 154 pounds, while Oletu weighed in at 153 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Emem Alkali, and the three ringside judges are Phil Adadevoh, Jay-Jay Njoku and Kamran Arafat.  

Round 1: 

Oletu lands a cross.  
Oletu hits home with a right hook.  
Oletu is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Kaiser in a corner.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kaiser dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kaiser attempts to land a left uppercut, but Oletu slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kaiser feints a cross, and then lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Kaiser closes the distance.  Kaiser is on target with a left hook.  Kaiser wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Oletu.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Oletu steps inside.  Oletu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Kaiser gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Kaiser closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Oletu dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kaiser's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Oletu's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
