Robert Owyang vs Saad Sharif

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Selangor promoted show at Umair Azam Gym, Shah Alam,  taking place on 26/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Selangor Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Owyang (9 - 7 - 4) who hails from Shah Alam, Malaysia and Saad Sharif(13 - 2) from Shah Alam, Malaysia.  Both Owyang and Sharif weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Khalid Shaban, and the three ringside judges are Sajid Madani, Danyaal Waheed and Kamran Ahmed.  

Round 1: 

Sharif hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Owyang sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sharif digs in a left hook to Owyang's body.  Sharif clinches his opponent.  Sharif is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
