Ramirez Ponce vs Gervasio Mantilla

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Nuevo Leon promoted show at Roman Salvas Gym, Monterrey,  taking place on 26/12/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ramirez Ponce (12 - 6) who hails from Ciudad Apodaca, Mexico and Gervasio Mantilla(6 - 7 - 2) from Monterrey, Mexico.  Both Ponce and Mantilla weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Salamanca, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Bilbao, Baltasar Salome and Carlos Rochel.  

Round 1: 

Ponce hits home with a cross.  
Ponce is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mantilla time to recover.
