Joaquin Abella vs Jose Merin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-San Luis Potosi promoted show at Bronco Farin Gym, San Luis Potosi,  taking place on 26/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-San Luis Potosi Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Abella (10 - 4 - 3) who hails from Soledad de Graciano Sanchez, Mexico and Jose Merin(6 - 3 - 2) from San Luis Potosi, Mexico.  Both Abella and Merin weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Selestino Bolanos, and the three ringside judges are Ulises Fosco, Joaquin Zambrano and Cortez Espinosa.  

Round 1: 

Abella tries to land a left hook, but Merin blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.
