Dominic Shittu vs Thompson Nwokolo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Lagos State promoted show at Nicholas Salihu Gym, Lagos,  taking place on 27/12/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Lagos State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dominic Shittu (9 - 5) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and Thompson Nwokolo(5 - 8 - 3) from Lagos, Nigeria.  Both Shittu and Nwokolo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Idoko, and the three ringside judges are Efe Obhafuoso, Sam Ofodile and Sean Ebor.  

Round 1: 

Nwokolo walks Shittu into a corner.  Nwokolo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Nwokolo closes the distance.  Shittu lands a right hook.  
Nwokolo throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
