Xeres Fierro vs Hisoka Niwa

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Ariake Urban Sports Park, Tokyo,  taking place on 24/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Xeres Fierro (11(5) - 0) who hails from Soyapango, El Salvador and Hisoka Niwa(13 - 1(1)) from Sapporo, Japan.  Fierro weighed in at 121 pounds and 11 ounces, while Niwa weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ryo Shiroma, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Mikami, Jiro Fukumoto and Kaede Tsuchida.  

Round 1: 

Niwa feints a left, and then tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.

Fierro drives a left hook into Niwa's liver.  
Fierro gets on the inside.  Fierro pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
As Fierro tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Niwa dabs at his face checking for damage.  Niwa has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Niwa lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Fierro advances into close range.  Fierro pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Fierro lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.
