Dmitriy Serikov vs Yasushi Suda

Boxing Daily Report from the Nundwe Promotions promoted show at Sapporo Convention Center Mid-Sized Hall, Sapporo,  taking place on 07/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dmitriy Serikov (14(2) - 0) who hails from Rostov-on-Don, Russia and Yasushi Suda(6 - 7) from Fuji, Japan.  Serikov weighed in at 154 pounds, while Suda weighed in at 153 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Goro Tsuchida, and the three ringside judges are Dai Ishikawa, Hiroki Shoda and Takeo Nishihara.  

Round 1: 

Serikov lands a jab.  
Serikov forces Suda to back into the red corner.  Serikov pivots from in front of his opponent.  Serikov lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Serikov ties up his opponent.  Serikov tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Suda's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Serikov.

Serikov pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Suda lands a cross.  
Suda walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Suda pivots to the side of his opponent.  Serikov is on target with a jab.  
Serikov pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Suda is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Serikov lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Serikov voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Suda is whaling away with hooks, but Serikov keeps his defence tight.

Suda is getting frustrated here.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Serikov.  
Serikov is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Suda tries to step out of his opponents range.  Serikov is on target with a jab.  
Serikov hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Suda is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Serikov lands a solid jab.  
Serikov is looking to close the distance and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Serikov steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Serikov lands with a stinging jab.  
Suda pivots to the left of his opponent.  Serikov connects with a cross.  
You can sense the frustration from Suda now.   He steps inside, but then strikes Serikov with a blatant low blow!  The ref signals for the action to continue.  He either hasnt noticed the blatant foul or doesnt care!

Suda is not fighting as well as he'd like.   He advances forward with head down and it catches Serikov in the face!  The ref stops the action and tells Suda to watch his head.  He gives Serikov time to recover.  
Serikov is on target with a solid left hook.  Serikov clinches his opponent.  Serikov leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Serikov to stop holding.

Serikov gets on the inside.  You can sense the frustration from Suda now.   He advances forward with head down and it catches Serikov in the face!  The ref halts the action and sends Serikov to the neutral corner.    He tells Suda to stop fouling or face a points deduction.

The winner by KO is Serikov!
