Rafael Lira vs Emilio Alderete

Boxing Daily Report from the Otoo Promotions promoted show at Ciudad Guayana Masias, Ciudad Guayana,  taking place on 02/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rafael Lira (12 - 0) who hails from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela and Emilio Alderete(13 - 5 - 1) from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela.  Both Lira and Alderete weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Lince, and the three ringside judges are Vegas Lino, Angel Malagon and Ignado Bernardez.  

Round 1: 

Lira lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Alderete steps inside and throws a left hook, but Lira ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Alderete pushes his forearm into Lira's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Alderete to stop fouling.

Alderete forces Lira to back into the red corner.  Lira throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to Lira's body.  
Lira lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.

As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
