Hikaru Katayama vs Yoshi Miyahira

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Azalea Taisho Hall, Osaka,  taking place on 13/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hikaru Katayama (10 - 0) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Yoshi Miyahira(4 - 13) from Fukuyama, Japan.  Both Katayama and Miyahira weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kei Ueda, and the three ringside judges are Yoshi Nakano, Naoki Shiraki and Kazuhiko Tsutsumi.  

Round 1: 

Katayama closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Katayama lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Miyahira dabs at his face checking for damage.
