Montana Robaina vs Jose Rafael

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Peru-Arequipa promoted show at El Cabilido Hotel, Arequipa,  taking place on 17/01/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montana Robaina (3 - 7 - 1) who hails from Lima, Peru and Jose Rafael(12(9) - 0) from Huacho, Peru.  Robaina weighed in at 200 pounds, while Rafael weighed in at 199 pounds And 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Jiron, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Giron, Pancho Rodriguez and Iago Martir.  

Round 1: 

Robaina steps away from his opponent.  Rafael lands a jab.  
Robaina is on target with a cross.  
Rafael advances into close range and is on target with a sharp right hook to Robaina's ribs.  
Robaina sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Robaina throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Rafael is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Robaina slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rafael lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Robaina is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Rafael lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Rafael advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Rafael clinches his opponent.  Rafael tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Robaina behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rafael about fouling.  Robaina quickly recovers.

Rafael is looking to close the distance.  Rafael pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Rafael closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Robaina almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Rafael digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  Rafael clinches his opponent.  Rafael is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Rafael.  
Rafael throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Rafael ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rafael lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, KNOCKING ROBAINA DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Robaina recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Rafael steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Rafael lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Rafael ties up his opponent.  Rafael leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.
