Boris Dobelnieks vs Aleksei Juspeteris

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Igor Allikas Gym, Riga,  taking place on 11/01/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Boris Dobelnieks (4 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Aleksei Juspeteris(2 - 9 - 1) from Riga, Latvia.  Dobelnieks weighed in at 175 pounds, while Juspeteris weighed in at 174 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Arseni Sausaismarcis, and the three ringside judges are Konstantin Pipkalejs, Afanas Gailis and Pyotr Dancis.  

Round 1:

Dobelnieks hits the target with a spiteful jab.  Dobelnieks attempts to land a jab, but Juspeteris blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Dobelnieks steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Juspeteris accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Dobelnieks.

Dobelnieks gets on the inside.  Dobelnieks lands a left hook.  As Juspeteris tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dobelnieks dabs at his face checking for damage.

Juspeteris is looking to keep his distance.  Juspeteris lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Dobelnieks lands a cross.
