Waleed Labsi vs Asif Merakchi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Algeria-Oran promoted show at Oran Sahnine, Oran,  taking place on 14/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal Algérie, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Waleed Labsi (10 - 3 - 2) who hails from Oran, Algeria and Asif Merakchi(8 - 4 - 1) from Algiers, Algeria.  Both Labsi and Merakchi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqar Ahmed, and the three ringside judges are Mohsin Djahnine, Aftab Mona and Malik Aichi.  

Round 1:
