Merrill Olin vs Dillon Moran

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at First Direct Arena, Leeds,  taking place on 28/12/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Merrill Olin (23(13) - 0) who hails from Saint-Denis, France and Dillon Moran(0 - 1) from Derby, UK.  Olin weighed in at 160 pounds, while Moran weighed in at 159 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jamie McNabb, and the three ringside judges are Greg Cody, Arran Bogle and Mervyn Cour.  

Round 1:

As they grapple, Olin pushes his forearm into Moran's face.  The ref breaks Olin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Moran closes the distance.  Olin pivots to the right of his opponent.  Moran throws a right uppercut, but Olin ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Olin pushes his forearm into Moran's face.  The referee warns Olin and breaks the clinch.  
Olin lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Olin holds on to his opponent.  Olin throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Olin hits home with an overhand left.  
Olin lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Olin lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Olin digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Olin holds on to his opponent.  Moran is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Olin tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Moran's kidney. 
Olin pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Olin is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Moran gets on the inside.  Olin backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Moran tries to land a left uppercut, but Olin slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Olin steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Moran almost instantly gets his legs back.
