Aoi Sugita vs Nao Okubo

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Ariake Urban Sports Park, Tokyo,  taking place on 24/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the East Asian Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Aoi Sugita (13 - 4(2) - 1) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Nao Okubo(11 - 2 - 1(NC)) from Sakai, Japan.  Sugita weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces, while Okubo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jiro Fukumoto, and the three ringside judges are Kaede Tsuchida, Ryo Shiroma and Hikaru Mikami.
