Rehman Mahdi vs Juan Paula

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium, Surat,  taking place on 31/01/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Asian Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rehman Mahdi (14 - 0 - 1) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Juan Paula(12 - 1(1)) from Caloocan, Philippines.  Mahdi weighed in at 126 pounds, while Paula weighed in at 125 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Adnan Odeh, and the three ringside judges are Waqar Shakoor, Arjuna Rangaswamy and Gurudas Kalla.
