Chinedu Onubogu vs Xavier Corral

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Bellville Velodrome, Cape Town,  taking place on 18/01/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chinedu Onubogu (10(6) - 0) who hails from Kaduna, Nigeria and Xavier Corral(6 - 6 - 1) from Córdoba, Argentina.  Onubogu weighed in at 199 pounds and 10 ounces, while Corral weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xhosas Serero, and the three ringside judges are Bongi Rantie, Luvolwethu Nyatama and Rob Ndombe.  

Round 1: 

Onubogu is looking to close the distance and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  Onubogu holds on to his opponent.  Onubogu throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Onubogu pushes his forearm into Corral's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Onubogu about fouling.

Onubogu advances into close range and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Onubogu is looking to close the distance.  Onubogu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.

Onubogu walks Corral down, trapping him in the corner.  Corral throws a right uppercut, but Onubogu clinches his opponent.  Onubogu pushes his forearm into Corral's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Onubogu to stop fouling.
