Sergej á Alferov vs Mark Papafio

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Ankara Atatürk Sport Hall, Ankara,  taking place on 15/02/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the IRBF Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sergej á Alferov (19(16) - 0) who hails from Varna, Bulgaria and Mark Papafio(11 - 6(2)) from Accra, Ghana.  Both Alferov and Papafio weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ilker Gruda, and the three ringside judges are Cem Ogun, Bora Ozansoy and Engin Ali.  

Round 1: 

Papafio hits home with a left hook.  
Alferov quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Papafio lands with a sharp jab.
