Shankar Basu vs Abhay Madhaven

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Uttar Pradesh promoted show at Kanpur ´++Anjaneyulu, Kanpur,  taking place on 22/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TEN Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shankar Basu (8 - 9 - 2) who hails from Lucknow, India and Abhay Madhaven(7 - 9 - 2) from Mumbai, India.  Both Basu and Madhaven weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Damodar Ghoda, and the three ringside judges are Haider Hoda, Lochan Rao and Ashok Bhattacharya.
