Aydin Sokmen vs Oz Durmushoglu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Turkey-Ankara promoted show at Serkan Calislar Gym, Ankara,  taking place on 24/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey-Ankara Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aydin Sokmen (8 - 7(1) - 1) who hails from Ankara, Turkey and Oz Durmushoglu(15(2) - 3) from Ankara, Turkey.  Both Sokmen and Durmushoglu weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ahmet Genco, and the three ringside judges are Metin Kaptan, Ahmet Genco and Cem Ogun.  

Round 1: 

Durmushoglu is looking to close the distance.  Durmushoglu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Durmushoglu lands a left hook.  Durmushoglu clinches his opponent.  Sokmen leans on his opponent using all his weight. Durmushoglu is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Durmushoglu pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.

Sokmen is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Durmushoglu advances into close range.  Durmushoglu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sokmen is on target with a left hook.  Durmushoglu clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sokmen pushes his forearm into Durmushoglu's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sokmen.
