Diego Jara vs Xaverius Arboleda

Boxing Daily Report from the Ngcobo Promotions promoted show at Nemesio Villarroel Gym, Havana,  taking place on 26/01/2025:

Clearly Ngcobo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Jara (8 - 7 - 3) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Xaverius Arboleda(4 - 4 - 1) from Havana, Cuba.  Jara weighed in at 125 pounds and 12 ounces, while Arboleda weighed in at 125 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Pedro Pico, and the three ringside judges are Jose Tadeo, Ponce Barro and Joaquin Olguin.  

Round 1: 

Jara closes the distance and lands a left uppercut.  Jara throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Jara attempts to land a cross, but Arboleda slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Arboleda advances into close range.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Arboleda dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Arboleda closes the distance.  Jara drives a right hook into Arboleda's body.  
Jara attempts to land a cross, but Arboleda sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
