Alejandro Benavides vs Gig Chavis

Boxing Daily Report from the Kavuta Promotions promoted show at Gimnasio Manuel Auza Prieto, Juarez,  taking place on 26/01/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Chihuahua Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alejandro Benavides (12 - 0 - 1) who hails from Juarez, Mexico and Gig Chavis(13 - 1) from Chihuahua, Mexico.  Benavides weighed in at 107 pounds and 3 ounces, while Chavis weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Antonio Hermosillo, and the three ringside judges are Juan Jaramillo, Malvolio Pantano and Malvolio Pantano.
