Henry Hoose vs Bob Bricken

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Nicholas Baird Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 27/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Henry Hoose (3 - 12(1) - 2) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Bob Bricken(5 - 6 - 4) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Hoose and Bricken weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Booth, and the three ringside judges are Joey Bridgeforth, James Oakley and Kenzie Anderson.  

Round 1: 

Hoose lands a cross.  
Hoose closes the distance.  Hoose pivots from in front of his opponent.  Bricken lands a right hook.  
Bricken contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Hoose connects with a left hook.

Hoose cuts off the ring, trapping Bricken in the corner.  Hoose sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bricken is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Bricken lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Bricken pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Hoose closes the distance and forces Bricken to retreat onto the ropes.  Bricken throws a right hook, but misses the target.  Bricken holds on to his opponent.  Bricken tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hoose's kidney. 
Hoose pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bricken connects with a left hook.  
Bricken is on target with a left hook.  
Bricken gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Bricken lands a left hook.
