Sierra Laura vs Sancho Mejias

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nicaragua-Leon promoted show at Leon Giraldo, Leon,  taking place on 27/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nicaragua-Leon Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sierra Laura (12 - 5 - 1) who hails from Leon, Nicaragua and Sancho Mejias(2 - 10 - 5) from Leon, Nicaragua.  Both Laura and Mejias weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Urvano Osorio, and the three ringside judges are Fraco Tafoya, Eduardo Olavarria and Diego Cuesta.  

Round 1: 

Laura gets on the inside.  Mejias throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Mejias's ribs.
