Elderson Bethel vs John Akubeze

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Kwara State promoted show at Ilorin Aguda, Ilorin,  taking place on 28/01/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Elderson Bethel (10 - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and John Akubeze(9 - 5) from Ilorin, Nigeria.  Both Bethel and Akubeze weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ikechukwu Chukwuemeka, and the three ringside judges are Rabiu Udoobong, Kamran Kalil and Kamran Kalil.
