Ponce Laurel vs Eloy Ruan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Zamboanga del Sur promoted show at Zamboanga City Ducisin, Zamboanga City,  taking place on 29/01/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines-Zamboanga del Sur Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Laurel (11 - 6 - 1) who hails from Zamboanga City, Philippines and Eloy Ruan(11 - 1 - 1) from Pagadian, Philippines.  Both Laurel and Ruan weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paco Pinto, and the three ringside judges are Jose Salido, Angel Pakingan and Joaquin Malang.  

Round 1: 

Ruan closes the distance.  Laurel throws a right uppercut, but Ruan holds on to his opponent.  Ruan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ruan to stop fouling.
