John McFarlane vs Gregor Abbott

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Philadelphia Creelman, Philadelphia,  taking place on 11/02/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John McFarlane (7 - 0) who hails from Rockford, USA and Gregor Abbott(1 - 1) from Santa Ana, USA.  Both McFarlane and Abbott weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Beall, and the three ringside judges are Mark Munro, Malcolm Kuntzman and Stuart Briar.  

Round 1: 

McFarlane closes the distance.  McFarlane pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
McFarlane pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
McFarlane manages to force Abbott into the blue corner.  McFarlane is on target with a right hook to Abbott's body.

Abbott throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

McFarlane walks Abbott onto the ropes.  McFarlane is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
McFarlane quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Abbott digs in a left hook to McFarlane's liver.  
McFarlane lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
McFarlane pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
McFarlane gets on the inside and manouvers Abbott onto the ropes.  McFarlane pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

McFarlane voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Abbott steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
McFarlane hits home with a cross.

McFarlane steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
