Duncan Poovey vs Matthew Barca

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at GAT Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 03/02/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Duncan Poovey (9 - 0) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Matthew Barca(5 - 7 - 2 - 1(NC)) from New York City, USA.  Both Poovey and Barca weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid Leys, and the three ringside judges are James Mabon, Briant Sarraute and Sinjon Bellanger.  

Round 1: 

Poovey closes the distance and connects with a sharp left hook.  Poovey clinches his opponent.  Poovey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Poovey and breaks the clinch.
