Mark Maskell vs John Tweed

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Kentucky promoted show at Michael Twaddell Gym, Lexington,  taking place on 03/02/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Deep South Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Maskell (13 - 4 - 1) who hails from Knoxville, USA and John Tweed(15 - 1) from Lexington, USA.  Both Maskell and Tweed weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Prosser, and the three ringside judges are Matthew Hatt, Hugh Days and Matthew Hatt.  

Round 1: 

Maskell steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Tweed lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Tweed clinches his opponent.  Tweed pushes his forearm into Maskell's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tweed lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Tweed gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Tweed is on target with a right hook.  
Maskell tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tweed closes the distance.  Tweed sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Tweed lands a right hook.  
Tweed forces Maskell to retreat into the corner.  Tweed connects with a left uppercut.  
Tweed lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Maskell attempts to land a right hook, but Tweed slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tweed lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Tweed lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Maskell throws a left hook, but Tweed holds on to his opponent.  Tweed pushes his forearm into Maskell's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tweed.
