John Olin vs Leo Smeaton

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at GAT Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 03/02/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Olin (8 - 0) who hails from Ottawa, Canada and Leo Smeaton(2 - 4 - 2) from Augusta, USA.  Olin weighed in at 153 pounds and 12 ounces, while Smeaton weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Briant Sarraute, and the three ringside judges are Sinjon Bellanger, James Mabon and Sid Leys.  

Round 1: 

Olin gets on the inside.  Olin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Olin closes the distance.  Smeaton is starting to lose his head here!   He catches his opponent with what looks like an intentional butt!  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  The ref stops the action and tells Smeaton to watch his head.  He gives Olin time to recover.  
Olin gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Smeaton's body.  
Smeaton is clearly losing his cool here!   He steps inside, but then strikes Olin with a blatant low blow!  The ref ignores Olin's protests and signals for the action to continue!  
Olin is looking to close the distance and drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  Olin clinches his opponent.  Olin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Smeaton is not fighting as well as he'd like.   He steps in close and swings a low uppercut into Olin's groin!  The ref stops the action and tells Smeaton to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Olin time to recover.  
Olin advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
You can sense Smeaton is getting frustrated in there.    He throws a hook, and catches Olin low!  The ref halts the action and sends Olin to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Smeaton and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.  
Olin steps inside and drives a right hook into Smeaton's body.  
Olin closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.
