Patrick McVicar vs Nathan MacCarthy

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Leinster promoted show at Dublin Leishman, Dublin,  taking place on 08/02/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Patrick McVicar (5 - 11 - 4) who hails from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland and Nathan MacCarthy(7 - 7 - 4) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Both McVicar and MacCarthy weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Killian Bourne, and the three ringside judges are Bradley MacGinnis, Joshua McColl and Roy Clery.  

Round 1: 

McVicar lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
McVicar sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
MacCarthy steps inside.  McVicar hits home with a left hook.

MacCarthy throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to MacCarthy's ribs.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McVicar dabs at his face checking for damage.  McVicar has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of the right eye.  .  
MacCarthy steps inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.
