Dave Shen vs Amer Burki

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Johor promoted show at Amjad Haider Gym, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 12/02/2025:

Clearly AI Malaysia-Johor have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Johor Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Shen (12 - 5 - 2) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Amer Burki(10 - 5 - 3) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Shen weighed in at 147 pounds, while Burki weighed in at 146 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Azam Hamdan, and the three ringside judges are Haaris Gaber, Rehan Sabet and Rehan Sabet.  

Round 1: 

Shen advances into close range.  Shen sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Burki hits home with a left hook.

That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
