Mike Skeldon vs Bruce Grant

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Ontario promoted show at Ottawa Gorey, Ottawa,  taking place on 13/02/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Canada-Ontario Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mike Skeldon (13 - 7 - 1) who hails from Ottawa, Canada and Bruce Grant(5 - 6 - 6) from Toronto, Canada.  Skeldon weighed in at 126 pounds, while Grant weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Arnie Waddey, and the three ringside judges are Davie Foyle, James Biggart and Scott Hughes.  

Round 1: 

Grant advances into close range.  Skeldon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Grant is on target with a left uppercut to Skeldon's body.  
Grant wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Skeldon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Skeldon is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Grant closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.
