Javier Velez vs Francisco Loya

Boxing Daily Report from the Mwase Promotions promoted show at Santiago Valentin, Santiago,  taking place on 13/02/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile-Santiago Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Javier Velez (10 - 1) who hails from Maipu, Chile and Francisco Loya(12(1) - 5(2)) from La Florida, Chile.  Velez weighed in at 160 pounds, while Loya weighed in at 159 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luis Arquilla, and the three ringside judges are Hilario Britto, Baltasar Pedregon and Paco Amaro.  

Round 1: 

Loya is on target with a left hook.  
Loya sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Velez connects with a right hook.
