John Rusk vs Johnny Tallon

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Los Angeles,  taking place on 24/02/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Rebel Rusk (2 - 0) who hails from Pembroke Pines, USA and Johnny Tallon(6 - 13 - 3) from Mesa, USA.  Both Rusk and Tallon weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Amores, and the three ringside judges are Justin Lever, Patrick Hardie and Joey Brice.  

Round 1: 

Rusk gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Rusk feints a right, and then snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Rusk is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  Rusk tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Rusk's body.  
Tallon closes the distance.  Rusk lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Rusk holds on to his opponent.  Rusk is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Rusk to stop fouling.  
Rusk hits home with a right hook.  
Rusk sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Tallon's body.  
Rusk switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Rusk is on target with a stinging jab.  
Rusk lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Rusk pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.

Rusk advances into close range.  Rusk pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
