Boxing Daily Report from the AI Greece-Attica promoted show at Athens Anastas, Athens,  taking place on 18/02/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Greece Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ERT1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Oles Sallis (10 - 3 - 3) who hails from Athens, Greece and Gyes Riga(11(6) - 0) from Thessaloniki, Greece.  Both Sallis and Riga weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Korudon Katsaros, and the three ringside judges are Telemachus Speros, Etor Lillis and Caesare Sallas.  

Round 1: 

Riga lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Riga gets on the inside and forces Sallis to back into the ropes.  Riga sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Sallis is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Riga attempts to land a cross, but Sallis parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Riga steps inside.  Riga sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Riga lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Riga clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Riga pushes his forearm into Sallis's face.  The referee warns Riga and breaks the clinch.  Sallis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sallis throws a left hook, but Riga ties up his opponent.  Riga leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Riga lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  Riga clinches his opponent.  Riga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Riga's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Riga closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Riga steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Riga walks Sallis into a corner.  Riga lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Riga sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Riga is on target with a sharp jab.  
Riga advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Riga is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Riga gets on the inside.  Sallis attempts to land a right hook, but Riga slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Riga cuts off the ring, trapping Sallis in the blue corner.  Sallis hits home with a left hook.  Sallis attempts to land a cross, but Riga sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Riga gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
As Sallis tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Riga has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Sallis hits home with a left hook.  
Sallis throws a left hook, but Riga holds on to his opponent.  Riga hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sallis's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sallis's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Riga lands a FEROCIOUS right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE SALLIS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sallis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Riga steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Riga lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Riga lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Riga ties up his opponent.  Riga leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sallis is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.  
Riga hits home with a firm cross.

Sallis steps away from his opponent.  Riga sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm cross.  
Riga drives a forceful left hook into Sallis's ribs.  SALLIS IS HURT!  Sallis quickly recovers. 
Riga steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Riga clinches his opponent.  Riga uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Sallis's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Riga to stop fouling.  
Riga forces Sallis to back into the corner.  Riga lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Riga lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Sallis quickly recovers. 
Riga is on target with a left hook.  
Riga connects with a mean right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE SALLIS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Riga knows Sallis is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Riga lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left uppercut's to the head.  It looks like Sallis has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Riga lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Riga clinches his opponent.  Riga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  Sallis quickly recovers. 
Riga connects with a FIERCE cross.  SALLIS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Riga senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Riga lands a cross to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head, AND DROPS SALLIS TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Sallis cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Riga!
