Ryo Sakurai vs Hiro Higashi

Boxing Daily Report from the Paintsil Promotions promoted show at Goro Chiba Gym, Funabashi,  taking place on 20/02/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryo Sakurai (13 - 1 - 1) who hails from Chiba, Japan and Hiro Higashi(12 - 2) from Chiba, Japan.  Sakurai weighed in at 126 pounds, while Higashi weighed in at 125 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Ishimoto, and the three ringside judges are Goro Horie, Mikio Kawai and Kazuhiko Sakaguchi.
