Jose Nepomuceno vs Michael Cowan

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Gym, Brisbane,  taking place on 22/02/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jose Nepomuceno (4 - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Michael Cowan(5 - 2) from Wollongong, Australia.  Both Nepomuceno and Cowan weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Rabb, and the three ringside judges are Mark Lockie, Ian Rabb and Glynn Profit.  

Round 1: 

Nepomuceno switches the action to the outside and lands a spiteful jab.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Nepomuceno has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
