Paul Anderson vs Kris Dodd

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 01/03/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul The Rock Anderson (9(1) - 2) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Kris Dodd(10 - 5(1) - 2) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Anderson and Dodd weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steven Candreva, and the three ringside judges are Dave Antoni, Leon Kellar and Mark Lockie.  

Round 1: 

Anderson gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dodd voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Anderson tries to tag Dodd on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Anderson digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.

Anderson advances into close range.  Dodd throws a left hook, but Anderson ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Anderson pushes his forearm into Dodd's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Anderson lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.
