Ignado Monterroso vs Montenegro Villamar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Peru-La Libertad promoted show at Peru-La Libertad Gym, Trujillo,  taking place on 26/02/2025:

Clearly AI Peru-La Libertad have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Peru Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ignado Monterroso (6 - 1) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Montenegro Villamar(10 - 1) from Lima, Peru.  Both Monterroso and Villamar weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marjun Viera, and the three ringside judges are Marjun Viera, Xaver Rota and Cruz Valera.  

Round 1: 

Villamar advances into close range.  Monterroso tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm left hook.
